NCALS FAQs
I ordered my allergy extracts 6–7 weeks ago and still haven’t heard back from my doctor’s office. What should I do?
Please note that the average turnaround for our allergy extracts is between three and four weeks. If you want to know the status of your allergy extracts, call your doctor’s office to follow up. If they say they have not received them, call our main line at (613) 725-2113 and we can follow up for you — we track all local deliveries.
My Allergy extracts are almost finished. What should I do?
Your doctor’s office should fax us your completed schedules and refill forms for us to be able to process your next order.
I want to take my allergy extract to a clinic but they can’t store it at their location. What can I do?
First, you must confirm that the clinic you choose takes walk-ins for allergy shots. If they do, then you can pick up your allergy extracts from our office when completed, then transport them to your home, and place them in the fridge until you have your appointment. For short distances, the allergy extracts do not need a cooler. When you are done your shots, they must be stored again in your fridge until your next appointment.
My Doctor’s office/my home where I store my allergy extracts had loss of electricity and the fridge was not working for 24+ hours. Does that mean my extracts are no longer usable?
If there’s any loss of power, call us or have your doctor’s office call us immediately. Our staff will walk you through the steps necessary to ensure whether or not your allergy extracts are viable and safe. Do not take the allergy shots until we are contacted.
I want my allergy extracts sent to my house, but I live out of town. Is it safe to do that?
If we cannot deliver thought our delivery drivers, we will send our extracts through Canada Post via Xpresspost. This will take on average 1–2 days to arrive after extracts are completed and packaged. If you request it to be sent to your house, you have to ensure that you are home to pick up the package — any harsh weather can damage the extracts. Once received the package must be refrigerated.
I’m leaving the country for two months. Can I take my allergy extracts with me overseas?
We cannot guarantee that the country that you are going to will let your extracts pass through customs. It’s safer to have your shots done before you leave and have your schedule adjusted upon your return.
